Board of Directors
Mr. Collin McKinney - BSEE, is Vice-President
and co-founder of Tracera. Collin is an electronics design
engineer with 25+ years experience in development of radioactivity
monitoring devices, cyclotron target systems,
radiochemistry systems, and analytical chemistry instrumentation.
Collin has developed new solid-state radiation detector technology,
automation devices, and computer control algorithms that are
enabling
technologies
for Tracera. He has held engineering and engineering management
positions at Texas Instruments, Inc., Duke University Medical
Center, the University
of North Carolina, and was previously Vice President of Engineering
at Biosystems Technologies, Inc. He serves on the board of
directors of Threshold
Corporation, Petaluma, CA.
Dr. Tim DeGrado – Ph.D., is scientific founder
of Tracera, director of cyclotron and radiopharmaceutical chemistry
at the Brigham and Women's
Hospital in Boston. Dr. DeGrado received his Ph.D. degree in
Medical Physics in 1988 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison,
with Post-Doctoral work in radiochemistry at the Research Center
in Juelich, Germany. His first academic years were spent
at Duke University, working on the development of fluorine-18
labeled PET radiopharmaceuticals. His research has focused
on the potential of small molecules labeled with PET isotopes
as indicators of biochemical status in tissues. Dr. DeGrado
is an active member in the Society of Nuclear Medicine, Society
for Radiopharmaceutical Sciences, Academy of Molecular Imaging,
and Society of Molecular Imaging.
He has authored over 60 scientific papers and numerous abstracts
and book chapters. He has 3 patents on fluorine-18 labeled
PET radiopharmaceuticals.
